Hillsong Worship, the group that introduced praise anthems “Shout to the Lord” and “What a Beautiful Name” to churches around the world and helped usher in a new worship movement, has announced it is releasing new live songs Oct. 23.

The songs — “Praise the Lord, Hallelujah, Amen,” “As You Are,” and “Flood” — are from a new live worship album, “Holy Is the Name,” set for release in February 2027.

“Our pursuit of holiness begins with a revelation of who God is — that he is holy,” said Hillsong. “Our response must reach beyond the songs we sing and into the way we live, shaping every part of our lives as we become more like Christ.”

The new songs are already being sung at Hillsong churches around the globe — and the group hopes the songs will help local congregations beyond the Hillsong community “draw nearer to God.”

“If I’m going to ask our congregation to sing a song it needs to not just be biblically correct, but it needs to be pointed at God,” said songwriter and worship leader Jad Gillies.

Involving worship team members from around the world, the new album is described as “songs of consecration and declarations of praise, and an invitation to lift our eyes and turn them toward God.”

“I hope we never lose sight of the fact that we write new songs so that people can draw near to God,” Gillies said. “We want to give people the language to approach God and put him in the place he should be.”

Hillsong’s aim is to keep worship simple and flowing from the congregation, Gillies said. “God is worthy to be praised. If we don’t (worship him), even the rocks will cry out.”

Born out of a local church in Sydney, Australia, Hillsong became a global multicultural phenomenon. With a church presence in more than 30 countries — including congregations in New York City and Los Angeles — Hillsong records songs in 32 languages. Its music has surpassed 15 billion streams, and it is the first and only Christian music channel on YouTube with more than 10 million subscribers.
