Lee University Student Continues Advance on The Voice

Lee University student Jordan Smith, a contestant on the popular NBC talent search program The Voice, has moved into the Top 9 of the show’s contestants following a live broadcast performance on Monday night and a nationwide online vote with results revealed Tuesday night.

Smith made waves when his rendition of “Great Is Thy Faithfulness” knocked globally-known singer Adele from her top spot on iTunes last month. Now, the Lee University student is at it again with his performance of “Hallelujah” and crushing the secular competition, including Selena Gomez, Drake and Meghan Trainor, among others.

When Smith auditioned for The Voice earlier this year, coach Adam Levine called him the “most important person ever” to be on the show.

Competition between contestants on The Voice will continue the rest of this month.
