GO Day Is Friday, May 20
Friday, May 20, the Church of God is encouraged to tell at least one person about Christ, a day that is being touted as “GO Day.”
Church of God General overseer Mark L. Williams has called upon everyone to join him on this global outreach day to, together, GO into the world and share our chapters in this great love story.
The challenge is to find just one person and share your story—your testimony—with them. Tell God’s story to neighbors, coworkers, and friends, and watch as new chapters in the greatest story of all time begins.
It’s never too late to tell someone about Christ, but it is not always easy. To assist with GO Day, the Church of God has set up a website full of tips and resources for making GO Day a success. Some of the suggestions include planning a GO Day party, reading your Bible in a place where curiosity seekers might inquire, or downloading resources.
In preparation for GO Day, you may want to ask yourself some leading questions: What happened when you were shown the Gospel? How did your life change after accepting Christ? What is life like living as a Christian?
Some alarming statistics give good reason why every day should be GO Day. Over 70% of the world doesn’t know Jesus; 33% of Americans don’t follow Christ; 35% of Millennials don’t identify with any religion; 50% of the world has not even heard the name of Jesus; and, perhaps most troubling is the stat that shows 90% of Christians have never led someone to Christ.
GO Day can help change that statistic.
