Historical Society of Church of God Movements 2016 Annual Meeting This Week
Cleveland, TN—The 2016 Annual Meeting of the Historical Society of Church of God Movements will convene on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. at the Spring Place Church of God of Prophecy in Cleveland.
Dr. Terril Littrell, Ph.D. will share a presentation entitled “John Wesley and Sanctification,” followed by a presentation by local author and historian, Robert L. George entitled “Holiness in Bradley County during 1880-1906.” Mr. George’s presentation will highlight local holiness movements that culminated in the Methodist Holiness Camp Meeting at Lake Wildwood, which is located near the host church.
The meeting is open to the public and admission is free. A selection of society officers will occur, as well as a walk to Lake Wildwood following the program, which is scheduled to conclude at 12:15 p.m.
