FINISH Commitment Featured in Newly-Released Bible
October 31, 2017–Wittenberg, Germany – Members of the Church of God Executive Committee and other leaders from around the world are gathered in Germany for the Wittenberg 2017 Congress.
The event commemorates the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation which began with Martin Luther nailing a sheet of paper with 95 theses on the door of the All Saint’s Chapel in Wittenberg on October 31, 1517.
A highlight of the Congress took place with the unveiling of the Great Commission Study Bible, which features the strategy of the FINISH Commitment. Church of God General Overseer Tim Hill was presented the first copy of the Bible, which features sections of notes and articles. Among the Church of God leaders featured in the volume are Hill, First Assistant General Overseer Raymond Culpepper, Professor French Arrington, Drs. John and Su Vining, Coordinator of Children’s Ministries Tony Lane, Randall Parris with the Youth and Discipleship Department, President of Oral Roberts University Billy Wilson, Coordinator of Unreached People Groups Ken Anderson, and former World Missions Director Douglas Leroy.
The Congress is coordinated by the Billion Souls Network, led by Dr. James O. Davis. Special speakers include Hill, Leonard Sweet, Kenneth Ulmer, and Elmer Townes. The Congress began yesterday and ends tomorrow, November 1.
