South Carolina Forum to be Livestreamed
As the final Global Ministry Forum events approach, one to be held next week will be broadcast livestream.
On Tuesday, September 17, Praise Cathedral in Greer, S.C., will be hosting one of the five remaining U.S. sites. The Greer location, at 3390 Brushy Creek Road, covers the Carolina Region, which encompasses Western and Eastern North Carolina, and South Carolina.
The Forums have been taking place around the world since earlier this year and are addressing critical items of the church going forward, including those mandated to be discussed prior to the 2020 General Assembly next July. The agenda includes completion of a survey and discussion on the issues of Ministry Ranks, Qualifications for Ministers, Women in Church Leadership Positions, and the Term “Bishop.”
General Overseer Tim Hill has moderated the forums thus far.
“The reception and participation at the forums has been tremendous,” Hill stated. “The representation across the board has come from all ages, backgrounds, men and women. Everyone has expressed constructive and pertinent dialogue on these key issues, and it will provide us much needed input into the agenda for the General Assembly.”
In order to provide everyone an opportunity to hear the issues, a second livestream location has been added. It will be the final opportunity for anyone not able to attend in person to view a forum live.
The livestream will begin at 6:00 p.m. EST and will be located at www.globalministryforums.com. This site also contains all information related to the forums, including schedules, locations, videos, agenda, and the survey, which can be taken at any time.
Remaining U.S. forums include Orlando, Florida (Florida-Tampa, Florida-Cocoa, Southeast Hispanic, South Georgia) on September 19; Longview, Washington (Washington, Idaho, Oregon, Montana) on October 1; Maumee, Ohio (Illinois, Indiana, Great Lakes, Missouri, Ohio, North Central Hispanic, North Central, Minnesota, and Michigan) on October 3; Hurst, Texas (Texas, New Mexico, Louisiana, Arkansas) on October 15; and November 9 at the Romanian USA Convention in Chicago, Ill.
