Church Leaders Headed to Israel Next Month
General Overseer Tim Hill and his wife, Paula, as well the entire Executive Committee of the Church of God and their wives, are hosting a special tour of the Holy Land entitled, “Israel 2020: Journey of Pentecost.” It is slated for March 1-10, 2020.
The tour, which filled last month, will offer unique experiences in familiar sites of Israel. The ten-day tour will include eight activity-filled days on the ground in the Holy Land starting in the Galilee and concluding in Jerusalem. Two charter buses will carry the delegates across terrain made famous from scripture. The first day the tour group will experience Magdala, Capernaum, and the Mt. of Beatitudes situated on the Sea of Galilee. Subsequent days will be filled with more Biblically-historic sites, such as the Upper Room, Jezreel Valley, Via Dolorosa, Temple Mount, Western Wall, and much more.
Special activities include a baptismal service at the Jordan River and the Lord’s Supper at the Garden Tomb. There will also be visits to various Church of God ministry sites, including Voice of Hope radio ministry. A special Sunday morning service is planned for the Church of God Ministry Center on the Mount of Olives. Vocalist Angie Primm and music minister Jonathan Sawyer will also be traveling with the delegation, leading praise and worship where appropriate.
“Most of the experiences will be shared together, but we will have times when the ladies will have a dynamic agenda of activities and teaching moments, while I will join the men on a spiritual journey of our own,” stated Tim Hill. “I am looking forward to what God has in store for us as we journey together.” The general overseer, as well as other members of the Executive Committee, will offer short devotions or teachings at various sites throughout the tour.
