The mission of EduMed.org is to educate the public and provide reliable resources to those looking to start or advance their healthcare education. EduMed.org researched and analyzed more than 7,700 accredited schools using data from the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS). The EduMed.org data science team then applied a proprietary algorithm to rank all qualifying schools for each healthcare discipline including counseling. Primary data points included the following: academic counseling services, career placement services, student-to-faculty ratio, tuition, percent of students receiving school-based financial aid, and amount of school-based aid per student. To be eligible, a school must hold active regional accreditation and have at least one partially online program in the ranking subject (counseling).
Wes Harris, outreach coordinator for EduMed.org said, “Congratulations to all those at Pentecostal Theological Seminary! Our annual rankings have recently been released and your school is one of the nation’s premier institutions providing a top counseling program going into 2023. It is paramount that those who are interested in counseling can find the best opportunities to get the necessary education—and Pentecostal Theological Seminary offers just that!”
Dr. Michael L. Baker, PTS President, said, “We extend congratulations to Dr. Oliver McMahan, VP of Institutional Accreditation and Effectiveness, as well as Director of the Counseling Program, and the entire dedicated counseling faculty. The PTS counseling program not only provides premier educational services, but a common denominator is our commitment to accomplish that goal in the Spirit and Power of Pentecost.”
