Churches on this year’s Outreach 100 lists of the Largest and Fastest-Growing Churches in America are pursuing many of the same growth strategies and values, including worship locations at multiple sites, breaking into smaller groups throughout the week, and serving their local communities. The lists appear in Outreach magazine’s 2011 Outreach 100 Special Issue, published Sept. 15, 2011.

Thousands of churches across the country are using social media, electronic invitations and “bounce houses” – and some are even overcoming great loss – as they gear up to draw family, friends, neighbors and co-workers to National Back To Church Sunday on Sept. 18.

New York City, N.Y.–A historic day of united, consecrated prayer will mark the 10-year anniversary of 9/11. Cry Out America (www.awakeningamerica.us) is reporting that they currently have over 2,400 official points of prayer confirmed for Sunday, 9/11, covering all 50 states including the US provinces of Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands, through the participation of over 1,500 churches and 900 interdenominational, public prayer events officially scheduled for this Sunday. Cry Out America events are scheduled for all 38 counties with populations over one million.

Dr. T.L. Lowery and his ministry team will be at The Potters House Church in Columbus, Ohio, Thursday and Friday, September 8-9 for a’ Passing The Torch’ conference.

Rick Warren isn’t among the faith leaders who will head to Ground Zero in New York City to pray on 9/11.

The Church of God is sponsoring a three-day training conference on how churches can plant churches. The training will be located at the Church of God Leadership and Communication Center in Cleveland, Tennessee on September 19-21, 2011.
