This weekend marks the third annual Christians United for Israel (CUFI) Sunday. Churches are being asked to dedicate all or a portion of their worship service to praying for and showing solidarity with Israel.

April 30, 2011—Church of God North Georgia Administrative Bishop Michael Baker has released the following statement regarding the tragic tornadoes that struck the south Wednesday:

A delegation of Church of God leaders, including General overseer Raymond F. Culpepper, traveled to Alabama on Friday to meet at the Alabama state office leadership to determine a relief plan for churches and parsonages damaged or destroyed by a line of tornadoes that ripped through the South on Wednesday.

In spite of its sometimes archaic language and the variety and availability of more modern translations, according to a recent study by LifeWay Research, the King James Version of the Bible remains the most beloved translation.

David Wilkerson, founder of World Challenge Ministries, was killed Wednesday, April 27 in a car accident in East Texas.
