The lecture will be at 7:00 p.m. in the North Cleveland Church of God’s Bryant Fellowship Hall. Following Synan’s presentation, the Spirit of Azusa Award will be presented to Dr. Bill F. Sheeks and Synan for their respective contributions to the Pentecostal movement. The lecture and a reception for the honorees are free and open to the public.

Three major secular universities in North Carolina are the focus of some very active Alpha Omega Church of God campus ministry groups.

Matthew Hurley from the University Church of God in Charlotte, North Carolina is the campus leader at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte and has been instrumental in establishing solid relationships with the university. They are now projecting a special meal for international students in their church which is directly across the highway from the campus.

Ronnie Williams is leading the campus ministry at East Carolina University. Their group meets every week in the university student center with 20 students being involved. They are focusing on developing joint activities with other campus ministry groups and building unity of campus.

Pastor Anthony Braswell is coordinating the campus outreach at North Carolina State University. They conduct student meetings on campus every Monday night with 40 students participating. They recentlysponsored a Friday Night Tail Gate Part in the main dorm areas and had over 300 students who were involved. The university has granted them access and permission to minister in the dorms which is an open door for reaching many students.

We are thankful for these campus leaders and local churches with vision who faithfully encourage and support campus ministries.
