Central American General Assembly

Category: Church of God News

A general assembly for the Church of God in Central America was recently held in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.

By Paul and Kim Dyar

It was great to see seven nations come together in unity at the third Church of God General Assembly of Central America. Honduras had the great honor of hosting the event in Tegucigalpa. World Missions Director Douglas LeRoy, former WM Director Roland Vaughan, Assistant International General Overseer Dr. Tim Hill and Regional WM Supervisor Ken Anderson highlighted the speaking agenda.

Fresh ideas and renewed passion were instilled in the pastors and leaders of these nations. Each person was challenged to renew their emphasis on children’s and youth ministry. Considering that many of the churches in Central America do not even count the children in their records each Sunday, this was an impacting message. In many churches there are more children than adults and yet the ministry to the children has not been the focus.

Praise God we have a new initiative to evangelize and disciple children.
