MARYVILLE, Ill. – A gunman walked down the aisle of an Illinois church during a Sunday service and killed the pastor, then stabbed himself and slashed two other people as congregants wrestled him to the ground, authorities said.

A self-proclaimed “stick-and- ball” kind of guy, Tim Griffin was a stranger to the world of NASCAR racing before joining the ranks of his colleagues at Motor Racing Outreach (MRO) ten years ago. The five chaplains of Motor Racing Outreach, a 20-year-old Christ-based organization, travel across the country, delivering sermons, car-side prayers, counseling after accidents and anything else the drivers and crews need while on the road.

New York’s Broome Community College has answered a local church’s freedom of religion lawsuit.

I am so grateful for 47 years of evangelism and missions and for being able to travel and minister in 160 countries. God has been so good in my life. I have seen so many miracles over the years, but one in particular stands out to me.

KODAK, Tenn. — Men and Women of Action celebrated their 26th year with another successful rally in Kodak, Tennessee. The theme of this year’s rally was “Anticipating Transformation.” Over 500 people attended the Friday evening service. It was a wonderful time of worship and fellowship.

The Bible tells us there are both true and false apostles. Let’s learn to discern the difference.

North Carolina’s legislature is considering a marriage amendment to enshrine traditional marriage in its constitution.

For more than 50 years, the ministry of South Africa’s Paul and Ellie van Zyl has been the stuff of legend. In a day when heroes are hard to find, the Church of God has more than 26 full-time Correctional Chaplains and some 51 part-time Community Service Correctional Chaplains, who volunteer their time to serve the men and women behind the bars in our Penal systems.
