Some people walk with God because they were brought up that way. It often takes a crisis for someone to become fully devoted to faith in God. Such was the case of Noah. All around them was a world so depraved and corrupted that “The Lord saw how great man’s wickedness on the earth had become, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time.” (Genesis 6:5 NIV)

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS–The Church of God Chaplain’s Commission held their bi-ennial conference recognizing and honoring military and institutional chaplains on August 2-4 at the Hilton Palacio Del Rio. As part of the celebration, two landmark dates were celebrated: 50 years since the Church of God commissioned its first chaplain and 30 years since the founding the Chaplains Commission.

America’s National Prayer Committee has released the 592-page book titled Giving Ourselves to Prayer: An Acts 6:4 Primer for Ministry. The book was compiled after ministry officials became alarmed at what they perceived as a lack of education and practical application of prayer for ministerial students and pastors.
