Joseph W. Handley Jr. has been named as the fourth president of Asian Access, an evangelical mission organization that develops pastoral leaders and serves as a catalyst to multiply churches across Asia.

Hinduism is the world’s third- largest religion, behind Christianity and Islam. Depending on whose statistics you believe, there are anywhere from 837 million to 1.2 billion people in the world who practice this faith.

CRYSTAL LAKE – What would you ask for if you were 10 years old and had one wish? A trip to Disney World? A chance to meet a celebrity hero?

Not Marisa Monbrod.

In confessing to the plot to lure Dr. White to attend the church’s 16th Annual Convention, which culminated in the Black-Tie Affair Event, Dr. Clive A. Porter, Sr., Pastor of The Greater Fort Lauderdale New Testament Church of God, spoke from his heart about the man of God whom he had long admired.

Iowa rescue workers cut through downed branches and dug through debris amid rain and lightning Wednesday night to reach the camp where the 93 boys, ages 13 to 18, had huddled for safety through the twister. They and 25 staff members were attending a weeklong leadership training camp.

PERU — We were expecting Pastor West to come as an evangelist for our Easter Week services, but did not know God planned to use him to pour out a Pentecostal revival. We needed this revival and will not forget how God used David West.

The organization is Christian Freedom International whose president, Jim Jacobson, says the Marine distributed coins with the words of John 3:16 on one side. The other side asked, in Arabic, the question: “Where will you spend eternity?” The soldier is now on home turf awaiting further word on possible punishment.

This past year has been both wonderful and very difficult. In 2007, I went to the Philippines. Lisa was able to join me there for about three weeks. We were able to learn a little of the language and get a glimpse of the culture. The Lord blessed us with many lasting relationships with both Americans and Filipinos. We hope to work with many of them in the future as we minister in the Philippines.
