According to a CNSNews.com article, in her Earth Day news release, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-California) attributed this quote to the Old Testament: “To minister to the needs of God’s creation is an act of worship. To ignore those needs is to dishonor the God who made us.” However, many biblical scholars cite a problem with that quotation: it doesn’t exist in the Bible.

Chaplains in Virginia were trained and ready to respond for the recent destructive tornados. For a number of years, the Chaplains Commission has been in partnership with Dr. Michael Baker, State Administrative Bishop, in helping train hundreds of pastors and laypersons to respond to the crises within their communities.

Recently, as we were returning from a church in Ohio, we were reminded that God is always watching over us. We had stopped in Bowling Green, KY, to get something to eat. As we were trying to make it back to I-65, we were repeatedly delayed.
