More than 50 non-governmental organizations (NGOs), scholars, religious leaders, and human rights advocates sent a letter urging President Obama to swiftly fill the vacant post of Special Envoy for Religious Minorities in the Middle East and South Central Asia. Despite the President signing a law in August 2014 creating this position, he has yet to appoint the Special Envoy.

Psalm 103:2-5 tells us what the benefits are: “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits, who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.”
