Kennedy Center for Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. The sixth annual event commemorates the month of September as Gospel Music Heritage Month (GMHM) and features scintillating performances and special tributes. This year’s honorees include Gospel music legends Yolanda Adams and Kirk Franklin, and former Sen. Blanche Lincoln of Arkansas, who, along with Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX), was instrumental in the passage of the resolution that established Gospel Music Heritage Month.

Those Who Serve is a devotional for those who serve our great nation. At the core of this book are the themes of faith, family, and freedom. It includes personal life stories from the author as well as thirty-three stories from Medal of Honor recipients and ex-POWs from our country’s major conflicts. Some of their stories are told in the inspiring DVD, which is included with the book. The author also uses examples of military insignia and badges to connect military history with pertinent scriptures.
