This past week I traveled with 18 Americans to a part of rural Guatemala that I’ve visited seven times in 11 years. Our multi-generational team from Florida included a college professor, a lawyer, a salesman, a private school teacher, several teens and a 31-year-old veteran of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Only one of our team members could speak Spanish fluently and a few had never been out of the United States before.

Bishop Glen W. Anniskette, his wife Susie, missionary/translator Willa Smith and friend Mick Toole from Ketchikan, AK joined together for an incredible two week mission trip from one end of Cuba to the other and back again.

The Church of God Foundation is pleased to announce a transition in its office of president. Dr. Donald S. Aultman, president since August 2010, will be succeeded by Bishop Clayton Watson, effective August 2014.

A new video message from Billy Graham is in production and is set to release on Nov. 7, 2014, in honor of his 96th birthday. The program, called “Heaven,” is being released to churches as an evangelistic tool, in conjunction with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association’s My Hope 2014 with Billy Graham campaign.

Director of Ministry to Israel (MTI) Michael Utterback offers an up close perspective on the turmoil that has unfolded in Israel in the last few days. Utterback leads MTI, a ministry within the Care Division of the Church of God, and lives most of the year in Jerusalem.

The White House condemned rocket attacks against Israel that reached as far as Tel Aviv and expressed support for Israel’s right to defend itself on Tuesday.
