The annual commissioning for the Church of God’s Ministerial Internship Program (MIP) will be held this Friday, May 16, and Saturday, May 17 in Cleveland, Tennessee. The theme for this year is “Let the Lord Have His Way.”

A group of Maryland filmmakers are producing a new Christian film about hypocrisy called Masquerade. The non-profit media ministry is seeking $15,000 using the popular Kickstarter.com funding platform. The short film’s plot revolves around a family who finds that living out their faith with consistency is easier said than done. The Kickstarter campaign will run 30 days and the goal of $15,000 will need to be reached by the deadline in order to receive the pledged funds.

Cleveland, TN—The Pentecostal Theological Seminary recently announced its summer online and campus course schedule. Although the Seminary has entered into online education with a significant interest from across the United States, its summer J-term courses remain a popular offering among current students, alumni, and those interested in receiving additional ministry training.

Over time, I have discovered that God takes our fears very seriously. We often do not. Most of us have been afraid of the same things for so many years that we almost don’t notice how they’re affecting us anymore—or worse, we choose to ignore them.

We should honor our moms every day. But since we “officially” get one day out of the year to recognize the woman who changed our diapers, wiped our noses, kissed our skinned knees, sat in the front row of our games, watched us go on our first date, celebrated our wedding day and maybe even watched us have a child of our own, let’s put a little extra effort into it.
