The first component is to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. We must understand the challenging times facing America at this current time and find comfort in being strong in the Lord. It is not enough to have strength in the Lord, but we must also stand our ground and be strong in the power of His might.

A new initiative is launching to foster and link local prayer networks nationwide. The Prayer Connect Community Network is a joint project of The Mission America Coalition and the Church of God National Prayer Committee. The first event of the initiative will be held on August 23, the final day of the Praying Church Conference in Cartersville, Ga.

Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) allied attorneys representing 10 Evansville area churches have filed a motion to intervene in an American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) lawsuit concerning the display of up to 31 temporary 6-foot-tall crosses at the Evansville riverfront being decorated by area churches to raise money for charity.

CLEVELAND, Tenn. – Lee University has begun construction on its newest addition to the campus. The building, which will house Lee’s Communication Arts Department, will be built on the extreme southwestern corner of campus and will see use by the start of Lee’s fall semester in August of 2014.
