Each year, the Military Chaplains Association USA, headquartered in Washington, D.C., selects one Army Chaplain for recognition for ministry excellence. Through a very competitive process, the five constituent Chiefs of Chaplains from the Army, Navy, Air Force, Veterans Affairs, and Civil Air Patrol submit nominees to the Military Chaplains Association. The Association is a professional support organization for the U.S. military chaplaincy.
“I see the excellent ministry our chaplains provide on a regular basis,” stated Richard Pace, endorser and coordinator for Vocational Chaplaincy Ministries for the Church of God. “I confess to swelling with pride when professional organizations not associated with our church also recognize the outstanding ministry of our exceptional chaplains.”
“I am very proud of Patti for setting the standard in ministry excellence as validated by this award,”Pace continued. “I know her passion for ministry is not motivated by award recognition; rather she is driven by a heart filled with the love of God to reach out to soldiers and their families.”
