Among Rev. Colbaugh’s church activities were service on the Editorial and Publications Board, Media Board, North Georgia state council, youth camp speaker, district overseer, chairman of the state examining board and on the state council in Louisiana, state youth board in Tennessee and president of the Hendersonville Pastors Association. He held a B.A. degree in Psychology from the University of Tennessee.
Pastor Colbaugh is survived by his family, including his wife of 41 years, Gloria, and their children, Melissa, Johnna and John, Jr.
Plans for a memoriam include viewing and visitation on Monday, July 21 at 6:00 p.m., followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 22. All services will be conducted at the Lawrenceville Church of God. Tim Stewart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The address is 300 Simonton Rd., SW, Lawrenceville, GA 30045.
