Although the Bible is the best-selling book of all-time, a recent survey by the Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life shows that 55% of Americans can’t name the four Gospels of the New Testament.

According to a survey conducted by Christianity Today International and Cornerstone Knowledge Network (CKN) earlier this year, four out of the five types of expansion projects churches undertook in recent years were done to enhance the ability to effectively minister to current members rather than the “unchurched” — those who do not attend church yet.

The Church of God will observe the fourth “Great Day of Prayer” this Sunday, October 3. The focus this Sunday will be prayer for the peace of Jerusalem.
