Both denominations grew out of a split within the Evangelical Lutheran Churches in America beginning in 1999.

Quick Resolution Comes for Lawsuit Against Alabama Church

The City of Dothan, Alabama, and New Life in Jesus Ministry have announced a quick resolution to the church’s lawsuit against the city. New Life had filed a lawsuit against the city after the church’s zoning approval was denied in September. Pursuant to the settlement, the United States District Court of Alabama entered an order allowing New Life to worship in its building at 274 N. Foster Street.

Graham Is Third Generation to Preach in Romania

More than three decades after his famous grandfather, evangelist Billy Graham, preached behind the Iron Curtain during a seven-city tour in Romania, Will Graham returned this weekend to share the Gospel in the city of Cluj-Napoca. The younger Graham spoke to overflow crowds totaling 24,500 over two days, Oct. 21-22, at Polyvalenta Hall, not far from St. Michael’s Church, the soaring cathedral in which his grandfather preached in 1985.
