Hundreds of Spanish-speaking members of the Church of God in the USA are gearing up to celebrate the XVII National Hispanic Congress, Thursday, August 3 through Saturday, August 5, 2017, in Ontario, Calif. The gathering will take place at the Ontario DoubleTree hotel.
During the 1970s, the Church of God asked the state of Mississippi to provide shoes for the Home for Children (Smoky Mountain Children’s Home) in Sevierville, Tenn. A faithful member of Mississippi’s Grenada Church of God, Bernice Jackson, had a burden for this particular ministry and began to collect money for the project. She affectionately called it her Shoe Box Ministry.
Beginning in September, the Church of God Women’s Ministries department will hold a series of one-night rallies across the country, entitled Faith Fire Freedom Celebrations.
