Benefits Board to Host Live Webinar This Friday

The Church of God Benefits Board will be offering a free 30-minute webinar this coming Friday, November 20 from 2:00 – 2:30 EST. The event is titled, “In the Know” and will be a practical discussion concerning year-end procedures for churches, ministers and church related employees as well as preparations for the New Year.

General Overseer Announces ‘GO Day’

Last week, Church of God General Overseer, Mark L. Williams, announced that the theme for the 76th International General Assembly will be “GO!” Williams cited scripture from Matthew 28, which refers to the Great Commission, “GO and make disciples of all nations.”

Operation Compassion Helps Build Diverse Shelters

Since its inception, Operation Compassion, an independent benevolent organization with roots in the Church of God, has felt a strong need to work through networks of partners in order to maximize efforts without duplicating services of other charities. Many times Operation Compassion takes the lead role, at other times they work in the background. The most important thing is accomplishing the goal of each project to help alleviate some of the sting of extreme poverty.

Lee University Group Sets World Record

On Sunday, October 25 at 5:00 p.m., a group of 30 Lee University students officially ended the world’s longest Ultimate Frisbee game after 90 hours of play, setting a new world record.

Church of God General Overseer Mark Williams has announced the theme for the 2016 International General Assembly will be a single word: “Go!” The General Assembly (GA16) takes place in Nashville, Tennessee on July 19-22, 2016.
