Orphanage Agency Raises $710,000

Serving Orphans Worldwide (SOW), an orphanage ministry that was born in the Church of God, celebrated a successful fundraising event in Bristol, Virginia, September 13-14, and raised more than $710,000 for support of children.

Church of God World Missions Addressing European Refugee Dilemma

In response to the plight of tens of thousands of people fleeing countries such as Syria, World Missions Director, Dr. Timothy M. Hill and Assistant Director, Dr. John D. Childers, in conjunction with the European Leadership Summit currently taking place in Budapest, Hungary, will engage in dialogue with the eight European Regional Superintendents regarding how to implement and aid quickly those mired in this deepening crisis.

Operation Compassion Receives a Donation of 2.8 Million Meals

During a recent five week period, Operation Compassion (OC) received 2,800,000 Vitameal meals. Vitameal was originally developed to help stem starvation. It is a unique mixture of all the necessary vitamins and minerals that the human body needs to function properly. Vitameal is designed so that local spices can be added to make it appealing culturally. Meat, chicken, goat, pork, beef or fish can also be added for taste and texture.

Progress Reported in Middle Eastern Country

The only Church of God in a Middle East country, which has a rich New Testament history, is experiencing positive results for Christian churches from the political turnover.

Noted Theologian R. Hollis Gause Passes Away

Cleveland, TN–One of the Church of God’s most respected theologians, Dr. R. Hollis Gause, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2015. He was 90.
