Dr. Mark L. Williams, Presiding Bishop of the Church of God, urges all of our churches to join with Dr. Samuel Rodriguez, president of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, the largest Hispanic Christian organization throughout the Spanish-speaking diaspora, to observe a minute of silence and prayer reflecting upon the persecution of Christians worldwide, especially the 21 Egyptian Coptic Christians murdered and their grieving families.
The world was shocked this week as the news surfaced of 21 Egyptian Christians having been brutally slaughtered by Libyan extremists who identified themselves with the Islamic State (ISIS). Most churches struggle to know how to effectively reach out to and serve young adults. This group, generally between the ages of 18-30, is a paradox to most church ministry plans and needs our attention and support. Church of God Youth and Discipleship is engaging this valuable segment of the church through both the SYNC Young Adult Retreat and Alpha Omega Campus Ministry.
The Church of God East Central Hispanic Region held a Church Planting Conference on February 6 and 7 called: Siembra 2015. The conference was a strategy event hosted by the USA Missions regional department.
