Black Ministries Recognizes Leaders During Assembly Gathering

The 2014 Church of God General Assembly Black Ministries Fellowship Luncheon was held on Wednesday, July 30, at the Hilton hotel in Orlando, Florida. Over 300 individuals attended the event, orchestrated and coordinated by Dr. Kenneth Hill, former Black Ministries coordinator for the Church of God, who was appointed director of Multicultural Ministries following the Assembly.

At the recent Church of God General Assembly, the presence of God moved on the people of God to embrace the FINISH CHALLENGE, a new World Missions initiative, with over two million dollars in cash and commitments.

Recipients of the 2014 Church of God Distinguished Educator of the Year Awards were announced during the Leadership Enrichment Training Conference on July 28 of the Church of God International General Assembly, conducted July 29-August 1, 2014 in Orlando, Florida.

Robinson Retiring from Church of God after 50 Years

Rev. Julian Robinson was honored on August 15 for 33 years of continuous service at the Church of God International Offices and 50 years for the Church of God. The current director of Business and Records for the denomination, Robinson announced his retirement earlier this year.

World Missions Responds to Liberia Ebola Crisis

World Missions General Director Dr. Tim Hill has stated Church of God World Missions is responding through the Marcelly’s Dream initiative to send monetary assistance for relief in Liberia, Africa. Medicine and sanitation materials are desperately needed in order to prevent the further spread of the Ebola outbreak. The need for food is also becoming critical as markets are shutting down and food is becoming scarce, creating dire circumstances for our pastors and their members.

People for Care and Learning Rebrands, Casts Vision

People for Care and Learning held a breakfast event on Tuesday, July 29 at the Hyatt Regency in Orlando, Florida. The independent, non-profit benevolent organization with roots in the Church of God, used the recent Church of God General Assembly as the occasion to formally announce a rebranding and new logo.
