A radical new book out today aims to shake up America’s laid -back retirement culture and launch a new wave of missions-driven seniors into God’s service.

Missions trips are an excellent way to be involved in missions without committing to a lengthy stay on the field. Aside from local church-sponsored trips, the Church of God offers several programs for short-term missions work:

Southern Baptists, faced in recent months with hundreds of allegations of sexual abuse in its ranks, have overwhelmingly adopted changes to governing documents that will bring greater visibility to their desire to disaffiliate with churches that do not handle instances of abuse properly.

A refugee girl in the “cradle of Christianity” – who captured the hearts of millions on TV and social media with a message of hope and forgiveness – is calling on Christians to take action on World Refugee Day, June 20.
