One of the most amazing miracles I’ve ever heard of happened four years ago when a 14-year-old boy in St. Louis, Missouri, fell through the ice and died. He was underwater for 15 minutes and had no pulse for the next 45. This boy wasn’t saved at the time, but his mother was full of faith—enough to pray that God would bring her son back to life. And that’s exactly what God did.

After submitting an open records request, Capitol Resource Institute (CRI) has discovered that the Brea Olinda School District has included in their “comprehensive sexual education” curriculum the positive portrayal and teaching of pederasty; the act of adult sex with boys. However, the information on pederasty was withheld from district’s response to the formal request. The public wants to know what else are districts hiding?

Who doesn’t love reading a good children’s book or being read to? As an English teacher, Carol Lester, author of Roo, the Kangaroo Cat, regularly read children’s books to her middle and high school students. Her students looked forward to these readings, which led to their insightful, and often emotional, journal responses. Thus, Lester’s students served as inspiration for this true story of a cat named Saturn.

Everyone has experienced an imprisoned heart, held captive as a result of unbelief and unconfessed sin. Worse, our prison comes with cellmates: guilt, shame, and regret, etc. The Keeper of the keys, Jesus Christ, has already unlocked the door to the believer’s heart using the key of forgiveness by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8–9). But sometimes we live as if we’re still imprisoned, struggling with fear, bitterness, anger—even hate. And those sins can slam shut the door of our hearts and strain our relationship with our heavenly Father and with others.
