The SYNC Retreat for young adults and college age students is an amazing experience that is growing in interest and ministry success.  This year, participants made friends, worshiped, played and prayed together…they also served during this initiative sponsored by Church of God Youth and Discipleship.

“God doesn’t answer prayer. He answers desperate prayer.” I can still remember my feelings of shock and bewilderment as Leonard Ravenhill, the late church statesman, spoke these difficult words to me.

Last Sunday I had a dilemma. We were a few minutes late for church, and we took a seat behind the children. In our church, pre-K through sixth-grade kids sit in the sanctuary during worship and then are released after worship to go to their children’s program. We were barely seated when one of the sixth-grade girls jumped from her seat and rushed to John. “Would you be our teacher today? Our teacher isn’t here.”

The annual Ministerial Internship Program (MIP) celebration will convene this year at the North Cleveland Church of God on May 15–16, 2015.  This year, more than 700 individuals are participating in the church’s acclaimed Ministerial Development Program as candidates, supervising pastors, spouses, and leaders.
