Sevierville, TN–On March 28, 2018, the Smoky Mountain Children’s Home (SMCH) held a grand opening for its new offices located in Oneida, Tennessee, as part of a continued foster care expansion program.
In preparation for the 77th Church of God International General Assembly July 30 – August 3, there will be an expanded prayer emphasis. The first event in this initiative is a 40-day call to prayer and fasting from April 22 through May 31, 2018. The event will be titled, Praying for Pentecost.
In recognition of the 100th birthday of Lee University this year, Faith News has presented a series of four articles on the history of the Church of God’s premier educational institution. This final in the series recalls the years 1993-2018. The article is an original composition by Dr. Carolyn Dirksen. Dr. Dirksen was hired to teach at Lee College in 1968 and this year completes her 50th year as a member of the faculty. She has served as a department chair, vice president for academics, and will officially retire later this year.
A much-loved benevolent ministry to missionaries originated by Church of God World Missions, will be returning to the International General Assembly this summer.
A recommendation to reposition Editorial Evangélica with Church of God Ministry of Publications (Publishing House, Pathway Press, Dockins Printing) was recently sent to the International Executive Committee by the Board of Directors of Editorial Evangélica.
