The Shepherd’s Cup is awarded annually by Church of God Children’s Ministries to individuals who have been involved in ministry to children for at least ten years, have made this area of ministry a priority and lifetime commitment, and whose ministry has set high standards for others to follow.
As a part of the FINISH Commitment, Timothy M. Hill, General Overseer of the Church of God, has announced that the daily scripture reading program–READ Initiative– will continue into this year as READ 2017. This daily Bible reading program coincides with the FINISH Commitment and the goal of global scripture distribution.
Cleveland, TN–Church of God General Overseer of the Church of God, Dr. Timothy M. Hill, has offered the following comments regarding the arrival of the year 2017:
Church of God Prayer Ministries Coordinator P. Douglas Small will lead a national virtual prayer meeting to take place from Sunday, January 1, 2017 through Sunday, January 22.
Prague, Czech Republic, has been added to Church of God World Missions’ emphasis on “Send the Light to the Cities.” Christ’s Birthday offerings will in part go toward a ministry center there.
Church of God State Prayer leaders will meet in Cleveland, Tenn., from Tuesday, January 10 through Thursday, January 12, 2017 for Prayer Leadership Training.
