On June 17, 2016, local Church of God pastoral leaders received an important email from General Overseer Mark Williams. Attached to the correspondence was a survey designed to help determine the personal financial health of local Church of God pastoral leaders.
More than 80 exhibitors will highlight the 76th International General Assembly (GA16), which takes place next week at the Music City Center in Nashville, July 19-22, 2016.
This year, the Midlands Region of the Church of God and Ministry to the Military (MTTM) used video conferences to conduct their Ministerial Internship Program (MIP) seminars that were under the direction of the Church of God Division of Education.
A new event will take place at the upcoming 76th Church of God International General Assembly on Wednesday as six simultaneous “Lunch and Learn” seminars will feature a variety of topics and speakers.
As was done in 2014, a special compilation of music has been assembled and will be unveiled in Nashville next week at the 76th Church of God International General Assembly.
Two years ago, Bruce Rabon, administrative bishop for the Church of God in Kentucky, conducted a study of ministers in the state and discovered that only one ordained bishop was under the age of 40. Bishop Rabon talked with the Division of Education about his strategy for increasing the number of younger ordained bishops in Kentucky. Part of his strategy was a strong promotion of Calling and Ministry Studies and the Ministerial Internship Program. He believed these two ministries would help increase the number of younger people in ministry, as well as increase the number of ordained bishops in the state.
