General Overseer Mark Williams delivered a ‘state of the church’ report last week to the Church of God International Council, which was in session at the International Offices in Cleveland, Tennessee. Williams’ address was the highlight of the opening session of the Council and set the tone for the agenda of the group of Church of God world leaders from all parts of the globe. The following is the address in its entirety:
Two church dedication services were recently held in the Leogane District, 30 miles from Port-Au-Prince, Haiti. According to Missionary Jim Hudson, the two congregations were the Trou Julot and Dessables churches.
As part of its continuing merger of former Northern and Southern Ohio, the Church of God in Ohio has moved its executive offices to newly leased facilities in Columbus. This new location will allow for a more centralized access to the state offices for local pastors, ministers and church leaders.
For many years, Operation Compassion has worked with several partners in securing and delivering solid wood furniture to families in need. With the number of local disasters on the rise and international needs for children at an all-time high, the need for furniture has never been in greater need.

In a gathering of the World Missions leadership team and staff today, Director Tim Hill enthusiastically announced that gifts to Marcelly’s Dream projects have surpassed the $700,000 mark and continue to come in.
September 24, 2013–Cleveland, TN–The International Council of the Church of God, meeting in session at the Church of God International Offices, concluded their biennial gathering today with a joint session with the International Executive Council, comprised of the Council of Eighteen and the Executive Committee.
