Missions Resource Group Connecting with Operation World Local Church Initiative
In the midst of global chaos, the church around the world is being resourced for intercessory prayer. The publishers of Operation World have joined with a number of international prayer and evangelism initiatives to ramp up their resources for local churches involved in world-changing prayer. “As a trusted and reliable information and prayer resource, Operation World has become the gold standard for globally-connected believers,” according to Dr. Grant McClung, president of Missions Resource Group (www.MissionsResourceGroup.org), and author of Globalbeliever.com: Connecting to God’s World in Your World.
First published in 1974, the popular prayer resource has sold more than 2.5 million copies in a variety of major languages and has been a user-friendly learning tool for local churches, colleges, and seminaries. The prayer guide puts practical prayer helps into the hands of believers to know how best to pray for their world. With a new local church initiative, resources are now available online at www.operationworld.org/churches. They include sermon outlines and notes, prayer videos, bulletin inserts, email templates, eBooks, articles focused on global prayer, and more.
Missions Resource Group is dedicated to advancing and resourcing the cause of world evangelization by providing training, consulting, and mentoring to the global Great Commission community. “We are resourcing pastors and linking with this new initiative,” said McClung, “with the hope that more of our local churches will get involved in praying for global initiatives and supporting the world evangelization ministries of our own denomination.” McClung is an International Missions Educator with Church of God World Missions.
