Blessings of God in Nicaragua
For the past few years, Honoring the Father Ministries has been working with Sobre las Alas del Aguila in Nicaragua. It is a ministry that feeds over 8,000 children, physically and spiritually.
Last year in July, we became aware of several needs of this faithful ministry, one being food for the feeding centers. It just so happened that a member of the HTF family had recently organized Run for Food International, and immediately began working with the team and other partners to secure enough food for one year. During the process, a dear friend and supporter of HTF called to tell us that our Nicaraguan family had been on his heart and wanted to know if they were doing okay. We told him about the need for food and how God was orchestrating the relief. Little did we know the show had only begun.
We soon realized that one of the requirements of securing the food was having a place to store it. This would mean purchasing property and the construction of a warehouse, neither of which the ministry had money to accomplish. HTF returned to Nicaragua, scouted out property options, and put the need in the hands of the Lord. Then, our dear friend received a check from his insurance company for more than he was going to need to repair his home. He paid for the property in full. He also let us know that his brother had a steel building he was willing to donate when we found a need for it. God is so good.
