Pathway Press Celebrates 60 Years of Church Hymnal
Pathway Press, the publishing arm of the Church of God since 1910, has released a commemorative 60th Anniversary edition of the traditional Church Hymnal. The release is accompanied by additional support materials, including a listening CD.
According to Terry Hart, general director of Pathway Press, the commemorative editions of this beloved book of hymns are available in hardback and large print.
“Along with the special book, we are producing a quality listening CD of select songs and medleys that will give you and your family many hours of listening enjoyment,” Hart said. “The listening CD premiered at the National Senior Adult Retreat in Gatlinburg, Tennessee last week, and it was warmly received with over 150 CDs being sold there in three days. I listen to mine while driving in my car, especially when I am on the way to preach somewhere. A split track (with accompanying powerpoint slides) of these select songs and medleys will allow a local church choir to sing them in their worship services.
“Here is a solution to the age-old problem of the piano player not showing up on a specific Sunday,” Hart stated. “Just insert the split track and turn the choir loose!”
