A Heart for the Harvest

A North Carolina congregation sets the example for other churches to follow.

NORTH CAROLINA — Good news came from Treasurer Ben T. Person of the Plymouth Church of God in North Carolina. In a letter to World Missions General Director Douglas LeRoy, Treasurer Person told of God’s recent blessings on the Plymouth Church.

“During the past year, God has blessed our church with a few additional faithful tithe payers, for which we are thankful,” he wrote. “Our membership voted to send to World Missions, on a monthly basis, 5.5 percent of our gross tithe, to be applied toward assisting missionaries in need, project 770-0014-010.”

The church expressed confidence in World Missions leadership and described their pastor, William Braswell, as being committed to missions, “the heartbeat of our Lord.”

World Missions expresses sincere appreciation to the Plymouth congregation and pastor for their fidelity to Great Commission ministry around the world and their sensitivity to the needs of missionaries
