Seminary Offers ‘PTS.Online’
Nearly a decade ago the Pentecostal Theological Seminary began offering online courses and in response to increased demand continue to expand their offerings. Presently you can earn a variety or Master’s degrees without relocating to Cleveland. Beginning your degree online now will position you to move forward without risking any earned credits.
Leaders at PTS are asking the questions, “How many times have you said, ‘I would like to go to seminary but I can’t relocate’ or ‘I am too far away to commute’?” PTS.ONLINE shrinks distance and brings the seminary to you. Technology gives personality to online learning. The “distance excuse” for not pursuing seminary training is gone as online study brings far away opportunities close.
The PTS.ONLINE application process is simple. Access the admissions portal on the home page (www.ptseminary.edu) and click the link on your degree of interest. A menu will give downloadable options. Complete the form(s) and fax or mail (sign before sending) to: Pentecostal Theological Seminary, 900 Walker Street, Cleveland, TN 37311.
Online studies require minimal computer skills. Tips to maximize the online learning experience include:
1. Minimize Distractions
2. Remove Clutter and Organize your Space
3. Energize Physically by Working Out
4. Refuse to Engage in Social Media During Study Time
5. Set Up the Email Auto Response feature
6. Practice reflecting a Good Attitude
An important question to ask is, “What scholarships do I qualify to receive?” or “How much will my degree cost?” and “How much is the cost of tuition”? Following is a list of available scholarships:
Care Ministry scholarships for pastors
PTS Ministry Honors Scholarships for COG ministers
Lee University seniors receive a FREE course if taken while still enrolled at Lee
Two full Academic scholarships are awarded to Lee University graduates each year
Veterans (approved by VA) can be certified for VA benefits
Spouses receive a 50% tuition discount (up to 6 hours per term)
Alumni receive a free audit course each year
Administrative Bishops receive one free course (3 hrs) each year
New Incoming Scholarship ($2500.00 fall/spring) – first time students
New Incoming Academic Scholarship ($4,000.00 fall/spring) – first time students
World Mission’s annual awards (limited sponsorships)
Local church Partner in Ministry scholarships
Scholarship funds are limited and awarded on a first come, first served basis. Some have qualifying requirements, so check with the Financial Aid Office for details (423-478-7727). Call the Seminary at (800-228-9126) and/or visit the PTS booth in the exhibit area.
