Lee University Achieves ‘Top Tier’ Status Again
Lee University has once again been ranked in the “top tier” of its category in the 2013 “Best Colleges” edition of U.S. News & World Report. The rankings were announced in their special annual best colleges issue last month.
Lee moved up eight spots this year to No. 46 on the “Regional Universities (South) list and made No. 12 on “Best Values: Great Schools at Great Prices” list.
The Best Values list highlights 20 schools in each region who score well in U.S. News’ rubric combining quality and cost to the student after financial aid.
“We’re happy with the results this year,” said Lee Director of Public Information Brian Conn. “It’s another signal that we are moving in the right direction, and we know these are rankings people pay attention to when looking for colleges.”
Over 1,600 colleges and universities nationwide are part of the USN&WR rankings, which have become a popular feature of college life each autumn. In the rankings, Lee is considered a “regional university,” a category of universities which provide master’s programs as well as a full range of undergraduate majors.
