New Parenting Book Puts Grace Back Into Raising Kids
Delaware Spring Press is proud to announce the release of its seventh title, “Practical Grace For Parents,” by Ryan Hobbs. A follow-up to 2012’s “Practical Grace,” “Practical Grace For Parents” examines the reality that there are no perfect parents, and that there are certainly no perfect children, but that God isn’t concerned. In fact, He has a plan, grace. There is a contradiction in Christian parenting. Although our theology says that only the Holy Spirit can change us, we tell our children to “shape up.” It is a contradiction, which if we aren’t careful, can turn them into law-strivers instead of grace-lovers. “Practical Grace For Parents” says that “God is looking for moms and dads who will stop parenting by their own strength, but instead will tap into the power of God’s loving kindness, and pour that loving kindness into the lives of their children.” More information is available at www.delawarespring.org or email [email protected].
