Winter 2014 Issue of Engage Is Released
Engage, a quarterly journal for Church of God ministers, leaders and church staff members, has been released. The digital issue is located at www.cogengage.org.
A ministerial journal for the Church of God has existed in some form over the past 30 years. Beginning as the Pentecostal Minister magazine in the 1980s, the publication was reborn in 2005 as Covenant Resources and became Engage in 2009. Earlier this year it debuted as a digital-only publication and now reaches an audience three times the size when it was a printed piece.
This issue has articles from a variety of authors, including Jonathan Stone, Ryan Stigile, Tom George, Tony Ritchie, Craig Mosgrove and Gail Lemmert. In addition popular recurring resource columns include Legal Notes, Money Matters and Book Reviews. A new column introduced this issue is Sermon Outlines. Veteran Church of God ministers will contribute some of their favorite sermons to this column.
Some of the highlights of this issue are articles that deal with Next Gen ministry, preaching through the Advent season, Spirit-empowered churches in a small community, and brokenness. Titles include, “Change that Fits,” “Do I Hear An Amen,” “The Bible says,” “Small Church, Big Vision,” and “Unwrapping Your Spiritual Gifts.”
“It is our intention to feature as many Church of God authors as possible in every issue,” stated Cameron Fisher, editor of Engage. “This is a resource that is unique to the Church of God, designed to benefit the Church of God to assist its ministers and churches.”
Engage can be viewed in several ways online or is available for a free download to print.
