Holy Land Experience Announces Christmas ‘Light of the World’ Walking Tour
One of the most spectacular and moving Christmas displays is live again this year at Trinity Broadcasting Network’s Holy Land Experience, the Orlando, Florida family vacation destination that brings the land of the Bible to life through impacting theater, music, historical displays, and life-changing exhibits.
It’s the Holy Land Experience “Light of the World” evening walking tour, a free nightly feature that gives visitors the opportunity to stroll throughout the park and experience an incredible display of lights, decorations, and music that will put them in the Christmas spirit while emphasizing God’s greatest gift to humanity — the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ.
“This is one of our most popular seasonal features,” said Holy Land Experience manager Mike Everett. “Every inch of the park is decorated with tens of thousands of colorful lights that can be seen from miles away. From the many decorated Christmas trees, to the memorable manger scenes and recreations of that ‘starry night’ in Bethlehem, our staff has pulled out all the stops to create a holiday wonderland for kids, families, and individuals of all ages in celebration of God’s greatest gift.”
Designed to escort visitors back in time to experience the sights, sounds, and themes of First-Century Jerusalem — along with the impacting truths of Scripture — Holy Land Experience takes on a unique atmosphere during the Christmas season. “Christmas has always been a very special holiday season for us,” said Mr. Everett, “and every year we go all out with festive lights, music, dramatic productions, and dynamic worship services at our 2,000-seat Church of All Nations — all to make the celebration of Christ’s birth an unforgettable experience for our friends and guests.”
Earlier this year About.com published its prestigious Readers’ Choice Awards for America’s most popular theme parks, and Holy Land Experience won the distinction of having the nation’s Best Theme Park Holidays Event, beating out a number of noted Christmas programs at other parks — including Busch Gardens, Dollywood, and even Disneyland.
In addition to its other award-winning and popular dramas and musicals, this season Holy Land Experience is debuting an all-new colorful and exciting Christmas production entitled The Fullness of Time Has Come, that tells the incredible story of Christ’s birth from the perspective of the heavenly angels commissioned to announce to the world the coming of the Savior. Guests will have a window into the halls of heaven as Michael the Archangel prepares his troops and the angelic choir prepares for its historic mission. And they’ll witness in wonder as one lowly and humble messenger angel steps into his destiny to deliver the greatest announcement of all time.
Mr. Everett noted that whether during a spectacular holiday season or on one of the park’s regularly scheduled days, Holy Land Experience is a one-of-a-kind vacation and worship destination for guests of all ages. “Every part of what we’ve created here at the Holy Land Experience — the sights, the sounds, and the entire atmosphere — is designed to impact the entire family,” he said. “It’s inspirational, educational, challenging — and unforgettable!”
The free, self-guided “Light of the World” evening Christmas walking tour runs nightly from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. through January 31st. For more information on all scheduled events, visit online at www.holylandexperience.com.
