TV Network Partners with 30+ Churches; Announces ‘Pittsburgh Faith & Family’ Channel

Cornerstone Network is pleased to announce the launch of its new television affiliate, ‘Pittsburgh Faith and Family Channel’ (over-the-air channel 40.2). Featuring many local churches, along with episodes of The WatchWORD Bible (and other worship/teaching specials), this resource gives local ministries the opportunity to share their church services and events with a citywide “congregation.”

The mission of the new channel is to provide more than 1.2 million families in Western Pennsylvania with a television channel that inspires, informs, and entertains – 24 hours a day, seven days a week – with unique family-friendly programming that originates from local churches.

“Many people don’t know how to find the right church, and many are intimidated about ‘walking in’ to visit one. They are uncertain about what to expect, or if they would be accepted and fit in,” says President Don Black. “The Pittsburgh Faith and Family Channel brings the truth of the Good News directly into their homes, and helps them discover churches that they may want to visit.”

Pittsburgh Faith and Family Channel is not based on a business model; instead it operates as a ministry partnership with local congregations. The goal is not to make money, but to bless viewers with God’s Word and help the local church grow. When viewers tune in they will find inspiring music, Bible-centered teaching, and dramatic portrayals of Scripture to help them grow in the faith.

“Our new channel is unique because it brings together the powerful anointing that is on our local churches with the broadcast platform of Cornerstone Network,” General Manager Tom McGough explains. “And that synergy has been amazing. God has blessed us with a line-up of Christ-centered ministries from different denominations, cultures, and geographies.”

Pittsburgh Faith & Family Channel is an affiliate of Cornerstone Network, based in Wall, PA. It is carried over the air on channel 40.2; on Armstrong Cable (channels 95 and 413), through the Bentleyville Telephone Company (Washington County), and Jefferson County Cable/Blue Devil Cable. A Roku channel for Pittsburgh Faith & Family is coming soon.
