World Missions Introduces Elohim 2020 Program

“Elohim” is the Hebrew word for “God,” and the Church of God in South America has developed a God-led church growth program known as Elohim 20/20. It expresses their clear vision for doubling the number of churches.

The program’s directive is a church initiative that will enhance strategic planning, ending in the year 2020. Anticipated is a long-term outcome that will host an unprecedented ministerial movement. The goal is to provide ministers of excellence in church leadership … better ministers for better results.

Many Latin American churches acquire converts from Catholicism, where the bishop instructs them as to any participation. Arriving in the Pentecostal Church of God culture, the new members are unaware of the gifts they have to offer in service to the Lord. In educating the pastors, materials are prepared to teach members how to be part of a specific team, such as children’s leaders, women’s ministry leaders, worship leaders … and the list goes on. As the individual accomplishes one level, the pastor signs for them to progress to the next level of learning. The leaders are given a “Certificate in Leadership,” confirming their advancement, giving them the tools of the 21st century to proclaim the eternal and immutable Word of God.

Already experiencing great success, South America is looking for partners to help the pastors and constituency mobilize the church into their communities. To be a part of this exceptional outreach, please designate your donation to project number 070-0392.
