Antigua Institute Holds Graduation

On May 29, 2015, the New Testament Church of God Institute of Ministry on the Caribbean island of Antigua awarded the CIMS Certificate ( Certificate In Ministerial Studies) to eleven students. All of these students, whether pastor or member, are excited about their historical part in this new venture in training for service in the kingdom of God.

The Church of God has twelve congregations on Antigua. There are 85,000 people on this island, but until now there has been no evangelical Bible college. Therefore, Bishop Jeffrey has taken on the challenge of developing the first ministerial training school for Antigua, using the Church of God School of Ministry courses.

“Bishop Jeffrey’s vision is to develop a school that will assist all denominations on the island with pastoral training, while maintaining the Pentecostal uniqueness of our faith,” said J. David Stephens, Assistant General Overseer for the Church of God and Executive Director of the Division of Education. “This is an excellent beginning for the future growth of the Institute of Ministry on Antigua.”

The Church of God Division of Education congratulates the students, instructors, and administrators who have studied and worked diligently in order to be better prepared to fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus Christ.
