Operation Compassion Responds to Kentucky Flooding

With the recent torrential rains throughout Kentucky, there has been flash floods and widespread flooding. One of the hardest hit areas is in the Johnson County, Ky. area. Operation Compassion is mobilizing a disaster response to this area working through OC’s coordinator in Kentucky, Dave Kilburn.

According to David Lorency, president of Operation Compassion, “our response will include Church of God Chaplains and disaster relief supplies designed for flooding victims.”

Part of Operation Compassion’s response includes cleaning supplies for flood cleaning, MRE’s, bleach, other cleaning supplies, trash bags, paper towels and other products to facilitate the clean-up efforts.

While others are trying to clean-up the damage to their homes, seven people are still missing and Operation Compassion will help serve the search and rescue teams with supplies.

Even though information is still coming in about the damage assessment, individuals, churches and organizations are invited to help Operation Compassion reach this devastated community.
